1) What are demonstrative adjectives?


Demonstrative adjectives are 'This', 'That', 'These' and 'Those'. They describe the position of something or someone in space.
Examples:
This plate is hot.
These flowers are red.

2) Use

❖ We use demonstrative adjectives before nouns to describe people, things and animals that are near us or further away.

- This: for a singular noun that is near us.
Example:
This book is green.

- That: for a singular noun that is further away.
Example:
That sculpture is beautiful.

- These: for a plural noun that is near us.
Example:
These tickets are expensive.

- Those: for a plural noun that is further away.
Example:
Look at those mountains, they are huge.
