2) Use
❖ We use adverbs of frequency to describe how often something happens.
- Always: It is used for something that happens all the time. (100%)
Example:
I always get up at 7.30.
- Usually: It is used for something that happens in the normal way. (90%)
Example:
I usually walk to school.
- Often: It is used for something that happens many times. (70%)
Example:
We often read in bed at night.
- Sometimes: It is used for something that happens from time to time. (50%)
Example:
I sometimes sing in the shower.
- Rarely: It is used for something that doesn’t happen very often. (10%)
Example:
She rarely spoke.
- Never: It is used for something that doesn’t happen. (0%)
Example:

3) Where can we put adverbs of frequency?
- We put the adverbs of frequency before the main verb.
Examples:
I always remember to do my homework.
Daniel always passes his exams.
- If a sentence contains verb 'be', an auxiliary verb or a modal verb, we put the adverbs of frequency after them.
Examples:
She is always happy.
I have always done my homework.
We will never eat raw meat.
- We can also put the adverbs 'Usually', 'Often' and 'Sometimes' at the beginning of the sentence.
Examples:
